Hi jennifer, I read your message on the GWC... I lived in Morocco a couple of years and it is a wonderful country, honestly. You can definitly go by yourself if you are used to travel alone/ backpacking, or if you travel with an organized structure, its a safe country providing that you don't go in dangerous neighborhoods by night... Its much safer than Mexico for instance.But anyway, I would advise that you prepare your trip in advance and that you use Hostmedudes to find local buddies in Morocco to help you find your feet!
